Please do not line the grill or grill components with aluminum foil. Foil can restrict airflow, interfere with grease drainage, and may damage the grill. (You can line the grease trap bucket with foil).

Check-Out Time

We often have guests arriving the same day, so prompt departure helps our cleaning team prepare the home for the next arrival. Our cleaning crew starts outside at 9:30 AM at the pool and outdoor kitchen.

Required Before Departure
Please complete the following before leaving:
Trash & Recycling
☐ Place all garbage and recycling in the appropriate outdoor bins.
Refrigerators & Freezers
☐ Remove all food and beverages from:
• Main refrigerator
• Additional refrigerators
• Outdoor freezer
Keys & Remotes
☐ Return all house keys to their original hooks or table where you found the keys.
☐ Return all TV remotes to the televisions and fans they belong with.
Property Reset
☐ Return furniture, pool toys, and kitchen items to their original locations.
Final Walk-Through
☐ Check closets
☐ Check drawers
☐ Check bathrooms
☐ Check appliances
☐ Check under beds
☐ Check charging outlets
Secure the Home
☐ Lock all doors and windows before departure.
Appreciated (But Not Required)
If you have a few extra minutes, these steps are greatly appreciated:
☐ Start the dishwasher.
☐ Gather used towels near the washer.
☐ Start a load of towels.
Important: Do not wash black washcloths with white towels. The dye can permanently stain the white towels.
☐ Strip used beds.
☐ Dispose of remaining food and drinks.
(Unopened food items may be left for our cleaning team if you wish.)
Cleaning & Property Care
Your cleaning fee covers normal turnover cleaning between guests.
Additional charges may apply for:
• Excessive cleaning
• Permanent stains
• Property damage
• Missing items
• Missing house keys
• Missing TV remotes
• Excessive furniture moving requiring staff to reset the home
• Cleaning beyond normal turnover standards
Water Conservation
Fresh water is especially valuable in the Florida Keys.
Please help us conserve water:
☐ Never leave hoses running unattended.
☐ Turn hoses completely off when finished.
☐ Do not leave hoses running while filling equipment, washing items, or performing outdoor activities.
☐ If a hose is exposed to direct sunlight, check it regularly as heat can cause hoses to burst.
Reminder: Manatee Protection Notice
🦭 Please Do Not Feed or Offer Water to Manatees
Manatees are a protected species under Florida and federal law. It is illegal to feed, give water to, touch, harass, chase, or otherwise interfere with manatees in any way.
Providing fresh water from a hose, dock, boat, or any other source encourages manatees to approach people and boats, which can place these gentle animals in danger.
Violations can result in substantial penalties, including fines of up to $5,000, possible criminal charges, and other legal consequences.
Please be aware that local residents, boaters, law enforcement officers, and wildlife officials actively monitor manatee activity and may report violations to the appropriate authorities.
We appreciate your help in protecting Florida’s manatees and preserving the natural beauty of the Florida Keys for future generations.
If You Rented Our Private Boat
Before departure, please:
☐ Fill both fuel tanks with the correct diesel fuel.
☐ Remove all trash.
☐ Clean the boat.
☐ Securely tie the boat at the dock.
☐ Leave boat keys and emergency (orange box) on the kitchen table.
